Building political power at the grassroots

Education and technology help union members win elections for pro-worker candidates and deliver results in our communities. Volunteers inform members and voters of where candidates stand on important issues, like healthcare, retirement security, and rights on the job. Rank & file union members are front and center in our program, coordinating phone banks and precinct walks, training other members, and getting the message out. For major elections this year, we're installing a new web-based phone system that helps persuade, track and turn out voters -- while maintaining the strength of member-to-member communication. We work in coalition with strong local allies, regional and statewide organizations to register, educate and turn out voters.
