The following 2014 Strategic Plan presents a proposed framework to balance the many important priority areas of work that the Alameda Labor Council needs to focus on in its work to build power for Alameda County's working families.

The Alameda Labor Council serves as an umbrella organization coordinating political, community, and educational programs for more than 100 unions. We represent 100,000 workers like yourself in healthcare, transportation, education, construction, manufacturing, and service. As Sharon Cornu steps down from the Alameda Labor Council's top post to join Jean Quan's aministration, the Council’s delegates elected Josie Camacho as acting executive secretary-treasurer and endorsed a Unity Slate of leaders. 2011 will be a critical year for East Bay unions as contracts covering 50,000 workers will expire.
